London - KUNA

The UK government said Friday it remains concerned about the security situation in Egypt's Sinai and has raised its concerns with the Egyptian authorities. In an exclusive statement to KUNA, a Foreign Office spokesman said that Foreign Secretary William Hague spoke to Egypt's Vice President Mohammad El Baradei on 31 July, and condemned the violence that has led to the deaths of security forces in the Sinai. In answer to another question by KUNA, the spokesman said: "We have seen no evidence of links between the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda". Meanwhile, the Foreign Office said that the travel advice issued by the Department currently warns against all travel to the Governorate of North Sinai and against all but essential travel to the Governorate of South Sinai
