
Assailants crashed an explosive-laden vehicle into a funeral tent in the Sadr region of capital Baghdad on Saturday, Iraqi Interior Ministry officials told AA. Another bomb attack followed shortly after the first in the same area, with two explosions killing 35 people and wounding 74, the ministry said. The blasts caused chaos in the scene, and the death toll was feared to rise, sources said. An official from the nearby Kazimiyah Hospital told AA correspondent that dozens of injured were being carried inside, some in critical condition, while city authorities were making announcements for blood donations.
