Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Saturday congratulated the Organisation for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons for getting this year's Nobel Peace Price. Davutoglu said on this Twitter account that he also congratulated Turkish diplomat Ahmet Uzumcu, who he said played an important role in the success of the organization as its director general. "I hope this prize facilitates the eradication of all weapons of mass destruction from the face of the earth," added Davutoglu. Ahmet Uzumcu, serving as OPCW Chief since 2010, is a Turkish career diplomat, who has served as Turkish consul-general in Aleppo, Syria and ambassador to Israel.
