Turkish Deputy Premier Bakr Busdac received at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy in Ankara today Dr. Jubarah bin Eid Al-Suraysiri, Minister of Transport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, currently on a visit to Turkey, to lead his country's delegation to the 11th Saudi Turkish Joint Committee meetings scheduled for Ankara tomorrow. At the outset of the meeting, the Deputy Premier of Turkey welcomed Dr. Al-Suraysiri, sending his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Crown Prince. Busdac confirmed the deep-rooted Saudi Turkish ties, noting that the great capabilities of the two countries qualify them to enhance their economic and commercial relations in the years to come. He reviewed with Dr. Al-Suraysiri the agenda of the Saudi Turkish Joint Committee, particularly what has been achieved since the committee's last (10th) session. For his part, Dr. Al-Suraysiri conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince to the Turkish President, the Prime Minister and the Turkish friendly people, expressing thanks and gratitude to the Turkish hosts for the warm welcome and generous hospitality accorded to him and the accompanying delegation to make the joint committee meeting a success. He shared the view point of the Turkish Deputy Premier that the two countries' economic and commercial abilities would contribute to enhancing further economic, commercial and investment ties in all fields, citing that the current trade exchanges between the two countries have exceeded $8 billion. He lauded the keenness of the private sectors in the two countries to hold a joint business meeting on the fringes of the Saudi Turkish Joint committee, a move, he described, as giving significance to the true desire of the two parties to enhance cooperation between the two countries. The meeting was attended by Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Turkey Dr. Adel Mirdad, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport of Saudi Arabia for Transport affairs Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Ohali and a number of Turkish officials.
