Turkey Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus
Ankara - Arab Today

Turkey Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus expressed today their hope of reaching a resolution to the Syrian crisis.

He said that the Turkish administration will remain committed to a solution acceptable by the people and the opposition and not enforced upon them. He added that there were attempts to implement a new Sykes-Picot agreement in the region and stressed that Turkey will stand firmly against any such plans.

He highlighted that Turkey was not only at war against terrorist groups, but also against the forces which support such groups. He added that all terrorist groups would cease to exist if the logistical, military, intelligence and political support stops for just one week.

On Aleppo, he noted that the Turkish administration have put in a lot of effort to stop the violence. He added that Turkey is currently working relentlessly to encourage a dialogue between the Syrian regime and opposition.
