Turkey aims to send aid convoy to Aleppo: Erdogan

Turkey’s convoy with humanitarian aid will depart to Syria on Monday to deliver cargos to Aleppo and other Syrian regions, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said after prayers to mark the Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday.
"After the sunset, the United Nations and our Red Crescent will send trucks with toys, clothes and foodstuffs to Aleppo. The aid will be delivered via the agreed humanitarian corridors," Erdogan was quoted by Russian news agency Tass as saying.
Ankara will also bring aid to Jarabulus and al-Rai liberated from militants during the Operation Euphrates Shield.
Turkey will send to Syria more than 30 trucks with 20,000 children’s shoes and pieces clothes, and 25,000 toys.
The Turkish leader reminded that the decision on the humanitarian aid delivery was taken after the recent talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry in Geneva.
