Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA)'s head Serdar Cam stated that Turkey created its own 'Turkish model' in international humanitarian aid, which is not based on self interests. Turkey, as the 4th in providing humanitarian aid throughout the world and becoming popular in Somalia, Syria and Africa, sets forth primarily its sincerity, Cam told AA in an exclusive interview. Evaluating the 10th Global Humanitarian Aid report of United Nations' Geneva office development initiatives foundations, Cam underlined Turkey's events in international arena were growing and expressed that official aid had increased 99% compared to the year before. He stated Turkey spent $2.5 billion in 2012 for foreign aid and said, "We created a 'Turkey model' in humanitarian aid which does not seek interest. There is neither such an increase nor speed in any world country. On the contrary, there is a decreasing process. Turkish model, Turkish understanding gradually vocalizes that people don't seek for interest and try to reduce the pain of people there."
