Tunisia expressed its deepest concern over the latest eruption of chaos in Egypt due to "an excess use of violence." These concerns were expressed to the Egyptian Ambassador to Tunisia Ayman Mousharafa, a statement from the Tunisia's Foreign Ministry said. It further added that dispersing demonstrations could have done in a more "peaceful" way. The statement urged all Egyptian disputing parties to resolve issues through dialogue to prevent the country form spiraling into bloodshed and disintegration. In a different statement, Tunisia refuted claims that have been tossed around in social networks that the Muslim Brotherhood's general guide is hiding at the Tunisian embassy headquarters in Cairo. It advised against believing rumors that could be detrimental to the stability in the region.
