
Tawazun, the strategic investment firm focused on the long-term development of UAE's industrial manufacturing and technology capabilities and knowledge-transfer with a specific focus on the defense sector, and two of its subsidiaries are gearing up to participate for the first time in Defense and Security 2013, which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on 4-7 November 2013. Tawazun's stand at the Defense and security 2013 will feature latest products by Caracal International and Caracal Light Ammunition (CLA). Caracal International is the region's leading manufacturer of firearms, sniper rifles and other light weapons, which caters to international civilian, military, law enforcement and sporting markets. CLA produces a range of diversified calibers and variants of small arms ammunition (SAA) for both military and special purposes. Tawazun Chief Executive Officer Saif Mohamed Al Hajeri said the company was looking forward to gaining huge benefits from its participation at Defense and Security 2013. "We attach great importance to our debut participation at Defense and Security 2013 which we view as an excellent opportunity to showcase our latest products and to forge new ties with defense industry in Asia and rest of the world," added Al Hajeri. Marking its 10th edition this year, Defense and Security is one of the world's largest multi-national exhibitions and is based around the concept of International Defense Cooperation. Over 400 exhibitors from 50 countries, plus 15 national pavilions will be exhibiting at the event this year.
