Syrian army destroys armed rebels’ command centre in Reef Damascus

The Syrian army targeted and destroyed a military command center of the armed rebels in Reef (countryside of) Damascus on Wednesday. The army’s units attacked the armed rebels’ commander headquarters in Al-Sheyfouniya farms in Reef Damascus, killing tens of the rebels inside the compound. Meantime, the army repeled the armed rebels’ raid in Al-Mo’azamiyeh town in Reef Damascus, and killed 18 terrorists and injured dozens more in fierce clashes. The Syrian army also killed 90 terrorists in heavy clashes in Barzeh district of Reef Damascus. The conflict in Syria started in March 2011, when sporadic pro-reform protests turned into a massive insurgency following the intervention of western and regional states. The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle-East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history. As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri extremists. Washington has remained indifferent to warnings by Russia and other world powers about the consequences of arming militant groups.
