Damascus - AFP

The second largest Syrian city of Aleppo is fully left without power supplies over the shelling of the transformer station As-Sakhur by the Jebhat an-Nusra militants. The repairmen try to restore the power supplies in the city, Syrian Minister of Electricity Imad Khamis said. About 2.5 million people lived in Aleppo before the war two years ago, as the city was the largest Syrian industrial centre. Now the population of the city hardly reaches one million people. The governmental troops are controlling only one half of Aleppo, the second half of the city is being kept by the gunmen of the terrorist groups and militants of the so-called Syrian Free Army.
