State department rejects reports claiming US suspends Egypt aid

The U.S. State Department on Tuesday rejected reports claiming that the United States has suspended assistance to Egypt, adding that U.S President Barack Obama administration has not made a policy decision to suspend aid to Egypt. “We have not made a decision to suspend all of our assistance to Egypt or to slow our assistance; any reports to the contrary are simply false,” State Department deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf told reporters in a briefing.
