Turkish Deputy PM Besir Atalay and Foreign Minister of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ozdil Nami came together on Wednesday in the Turkish capital, Ankara. Atalay stressed that Turkey has always maintained the solidarity with TRNC, and would always continue to maintain the solidarity with Turkish Cypriots. FM Nami reminded that a government has been formed in TRNC, adding, "The governments in TRNC are able to change, but Turkey's support to TRNC never changes." Pointing out the close alliance with Turkey, Nami said that Turkey and TRNC will work together to uplift TRNC as it was before. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held today a joint press conference with FM Nami. The "psychological threshold" for solving the Cyprus issue has been passed, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Wednesday, noting that leaders from Greek Cyprus and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will come together on November 4 to discuss a solution process regarding the island. Citing recent talks with Greek Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos during UN General Assembly meeting last month in New York, Davutoglu said Turkish and Greek negotiators agreed on reciprocal meetings in each other's capitals.
