
A crowd of Syrian students and members of the Syrian and other Arab communities in Slovakia on Friday participated in an event to express solidarity with Syria. The event, organized by the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students in Slovakia, was held in the National Uprising Square in the Slovak capital Bratislava. Slovak and foreign citizens and members of the Communist Party of Slovakia took part in the event. Waving the Syrian flags and posters of President Bashar al-Assad, the participants chanted slogans hailing the steadfastness of the Syrian people and the national reform process. The Russian and Chinese flags also fluttered, with the participants expressing their appreciation of the stances of Russia and China towards what is Syria is being subjected to. 20130719-141748.jpgThe Syrian students issued a statement on the occasion in which they voiced denunciation of the foreign conspiracy targeting their homeland that aim to implement foreign agendas. Condemnation of the regional and Western countries which have been supplying the armed terrorist groups in Syria with money and weapons was also expressed in the statement. The students paid tributes to Syria's martyrs, particularly those from the Syrian army who fell victims to the atrocities committed by the terrorist groups with the aim to destabilize Syria in implementation of Zionist and U.S. schemes. In the framework of the event, a delegation of the students, headed by chairman of the branch of the National Unions of Syrian Students in Slovakia Ali Asaad, visited the Russian Embassy and presented a letter of thanks for Moscow's brave stances on the conspiracy hatched against Syria. The Slovak and foreign and Arab participants stressed solidarity with Syria and its people to face the foreign plots and confront the internationally and regionally-backed terrorism striking Syria. Syrians in Belarus organize event to express solidarity with homeland The Belarus branch of the National Union of Syrian Students and Syria's Embassy in Minsk organized an event to express solidarity for Syria and its leadership in the face of the conspiracy hatched against it. Participants voiced commitment to the homeland and support for the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, affirming confidence in Syria's victory and expressing support for the process of rebuilding and reform. They lauded the achievements of the Syrian Army in its battle against terrorism, denouncing those who support, arm and fund terrorists. The event began with a moment of silence for the souls of Syria's martyrs, followed by the Syrian anthems.
