Slovenian Ambassador to Egypt Tatiana Mischofa praised on Thursday the successful visit by Slovenian President Borut Pahor to Egypt.
Pahor left here on Wednesday, winding up a three-day visit to Egypt.
During his stay in Cairo, Pahor had talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal.
In exclusive statements to MENA, Mischofa said a Slovenian delegation comprising 15 businessmen held talks with Egyptian businessmen during the Slovenian-Egyptian business forum and inked three agreements with Egyptian companies.
She further expected ties between Egyptian and Slovenian businessmen to get stronger in the coming period.
The two sides agreed to step up mutual cooperation in the fields of economy, water, environment and maritime transport, the Slovenian diplomat noted.
The first session of the Egyptian-Slovenian joint committee will be held in the first quarter of 2017 under Slovenian Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec and Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr in Ljubljana, she pointed out.
