Slovenian government has approved a package of material aid with worth of 1.05 million euros (1.20 million U.S. dollars) to Greece via the EU civil protection mechanism to deal with the refugee crisis.
The aid in response to Greece's call will include beds, blankets, a first aid tent, tents of various sizes, tent heaters, sleeping mats and sleeping bags, rain coats, rubber boots and baby nappies, the Government Communication Office announced on Monday.
"Slovenia benefited from aid provided by many countries in response to its request for international aid in the migration crisis. The situation in Slovenia, which at the height of the migration crisis supplied up to 15,000 persons a day, has since changed, so a part of the aid received remains unused," the release reads.
The government also allocated 495,400 euros from budget reserves for migrations to supplement the national stocks of material and technical means, and for transport costs.
