
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday laid here on Monday a wreath on the tomb of Luís Vaz de Camões, one of the greatest Portuguese poets.
Camoëns is one of the most famous poets in Portugal. He is thought to have been born around 1524. He wrote a considerable amount of lyrical poetry and drama but is best remembered for his epic work Os Lusíadas (The Lusiads).
