Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry urged Africa to give due attention to its sons abroad.
Addressing the opening session of the three-day continental workshop on migrant Africans on Tuesday, Assistant Foreign Minister Amgad Abdel Ghaffar - speaking on behalf of Shoukry - highlighted Africa's suffering of brain drain for decades as well as the suffering of Africans abroad.
The African Union exerts strenuous efforts to serve the interests of African nations and nationals, he said.
Abdel Ghaffar referred to Egypt's efforts to serve expats, citing the issuance of legislations in this regard.
