The Security Council on Tuesday strongly condemned the attacks against the United Kingdom''s embassy in the Iranian capital which resulted in intrusions into the diplomatic and consular premises and caused serious damage. "The members of the Security Council called on the Iranian authorities to protect diplomatic and consular property and personnel, and to respect fully their international obligations in this regard," Ambassador Jose Filipe Moraes Cabral of Portugal, which holds the Council’s presidency this month, said in a statement read out to the press.
