Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan and Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi discussed bilateral ties and cooperation. At the meeting, Sargsyan noted that exchange of visits between top Armenian and Iranian officials provides the opportunity to discuss the cooperation agenda between the two countries and the agreements reached with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and also to outline new projects. "I am happy to say that the Armenian-Iranian relations are on a high level. The number of joint projects increases, cultural exchanges become more intensive," Serzh Sargsyan said. "Iran as a friendly country will always be committed to developing relations with Armenia," Ali Akbar Salehi noted. In the context of Iranian President's forthcoming visit to Armenia, the two sides discussed cooperation plans in energy, transport, communication, tourism and other fields.
