Sanctions, including one against Iran's oil exports, have no legal basis and will be failed, said a senior Indian journalist Thursday in New Delhi. Talking to IRNA, Mohammad Ahmad Kazmi, Chief Editor of Media Star News & Features said that illegal sanctions against Iran have lost their objective. He added that such economic warfare as well as continuing military threats merely help in escalating global tensions benefitting war mongers selling weapons in the region. Kazmi, who writes regularly on international affairs in a large number of newspapers, was of the view that coordinated hostile moves by the US and its allies against Iran will damage the weak western economies. Urging Washington to correct its behavior and stop making false propaganda, Kazmi called on those countries importing oil from Iran to safeguard their national interests by rejecting new unilateral US sanctions. Indian journalist maintained that Iran’s nuclear activities were never questioned by IAEA, the legitimate world body supervising the development and usage of atomic energy. However he criticized possession of nuclear weapons by the US, Israel and their allies.
