Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi in a message on Tuesday extended his felicitations to Sheikh Sabah al-Khalid al-Sabah on his appointment as Kuwait's new foreign minister.A statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry's Information and Press Bureau said Salehi sent a message to Khalid al-Sabah to congratulate him on his appointment as the new Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. In his message, Salehi wished Khalid al-Sabah success, and expressed the hope that the "age-old and unique relations between the two Muslim and brotherly countries" would further strengthen and progress during his term. Khalid al-Sabah replaced Kuwait's former minister of foreign affairs Sheikh Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
