Saif bin Zayed honours MoI Staff members in recognition of their courage

H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, recently honoured at the ministry’s headquarters, Captain Salem Fahad Al Nuaimi and his brother, First Warrant Officer Ahmad Fahad Al Nuaimi, in recognition of their courage and their sense of security, which allowed them to catch a gang of thieves and handing them over to the Spanish Police, while on vacation in Spain.

Sheikh Saif awarded the Al Nauimi brothers the Sense of Security Medal, in recognition of their outstanding efforts, which reflect their spirit of positive patriotism. Both brothers assisted the Barcelona Police thanks to their heightened sense of security, to nab the members of the gang, who were conspiring to rob a group of tourists.

The two brothers managed to intervene, by implementing a clever and elaborate plan to hold up the perpetrators and prevent them from fleeing the scene pending the arrival of the Spanish police. It is worth mentioning that one of the brothers sustained a minor injury in the process.

Sheikh Saif commended the courage and responsible action of the honorees. He also praised their voluntary action and positive attitude, which helped the Spanish law enforcement force perform its duty.

The honouring ceremony was attended by Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and a number of senior officers.
