Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Saeb Erekat
Ramallah - Arab Today

Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Saeb Erekat said on Saturday a decision to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the occupied Al Quds would destroy the peace process, WAFA News Agency reported.

In his reaction to statements made by US newly appointed Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, Erekat said moving the embassy means endorsement for the Israeli occupation policies.

US President-elect Donald Trump’s hard-liner pick for Israeli ambassador has made the controversial statements that the country will be moved to Al Quds drawing condemnation from many sides.

Erekat described Friedman’s statements as “extremely dangerous” and may drag the region into new war.
