Rwandan president: Power of unity controls African policy
Kigali - Arab Today

Rwandan President Paul Kagame said that the power of unity is the feature which controls the African policy.

The unity should never be subject to preconditions, he added in his speech before the AU summit meetings, which are being held in Kigali.

Twenty two years ago this country was nearly at the edge of collapse, he said, adding that national unity was the starting point for the transformation.

"We are here to discuss important issues, topped by the rights of the African women," he added.

The African leaders discussed yesterday ways to finance the AU, he said, adding that the future of Africa focuses on promoting cooperation and joint integration to confront challenges.
