Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is leaving for New York on Monday to attend General Debate at the 66th session of the UN General Assembly."The Russian delegation sees its key task at this session in fixing multilateral approaches to the resolution of modern global problems," Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said. In his speech at General Debate, Lavrov is expected to "outline Russia's key foreign policy priorities, approaches to ensuring global and European security, multilateral disarmament, regional conflict settlement, including in the Middle East and North Africa, UN reform and development issues," he said.The session also includes other events, for example discussions of the most urgent problems on the UN agenda, including a high-level meeting on non-communicable diseases and a nuclear security meeting.
