Romania's President Traian Basescu commended the level of "exceptional" political ties with Kuwait, which he said were constantly improving along with other fields. Basescu also expressed his greetings to HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti people, during his encounter with the outgoing Kuwaiti ambassador to Romania Fahad Al-Mutairi. Al-Mutairi, whose term in office came to an end on Friday, told KUNA over the phone that the president had thanked him for his efforts over the past years in improving trade relations between both countries to be on par with their political equivalents. The Romanian president had also stressed the need to build upon these economic and trade relations, according to the ambassador, and encourage investments and projects in each of the countries after high-level visits aimed at these plans.
