
The Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani , presided over the cabinet weekly regular session held at the Emiri Diwan here on Wednesday . Following the cabinet meeting, HE the Deputy Premier and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed Bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud stated the following: The cabinet discussed topics tabled on the agenda as follows: First: Approving a draft law to amend some provisions of law No. 8 of 1990 on regulating the control of food stuff set for human consumption. Under the provisions of the set law ,it is permissible as per a decision from the director of the concerned municipality or the director of the competent department at each of the ministries of Municipality and Urban Planning, Environment and Public Health to close the shop, which is located where the offense occurs and the closure will be according to the administrative way and a note is to be placed on the front of the shop to sign that it is closed for offense or violation of the law regulating the food control of human consumption and the closure related decision is to be published onwebsite of the Ministry which has issued it. Second: Approving the draft decision of the minister of economy and commerce amending some provisions of the law No.9239 of 2011 on controls of issuing temporary licenses to open commercial and similar public shops in the housing areas. It is permissible to renew these licenses annually until the end of 2016 in view of the unavailability of alternative shops to practise their activities in the current period in addition to the high rental value of such shops outside those areas.
