HE the Deputy Premier and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed Bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud has renewed Qatar''s commitment to supporting the Doha Peace Agreement on Darfur and working for the repatriation of the displaced persons and refugees in the province and boosting development in the region. Qatar''s position was spelled out by Al Mahmoud in a speech delivered for the people of the west Darfur province in the town of al-Junaynah this evening. Al Mahmoud called for unity of ranks, discarding dissension and for joining the peace process, urging in particular the armed groups which haven''t yet joined the peace march. He underlined the importance of investing in the Doha agreement and of being involved in the process of construction. He explained the security , economic and social aspects of the Doha Agreement, stressing the need for development and reconstruction so that the people of the area can reap the fruits of peace. Al Mahmoud met during the visit to al-Junaynah with members of the commission of the Executive and Legislative Council of West Darfur.
