The Kremlin said Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas in Moscow on April 18 to discuss the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations process, Sputnik News reported.
"Priority will traditionally be given to the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations process," the Kremlin said in a statement.
Bilateral issues will also be discussed.
“It’s expected the heads of state will review actual issues in the Russian-Palestinian agenda and discuss joint steps in increasing the entire complex of bilateral cooperation, first and foremost in the trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres,” the Kremlin said.
At the same time, Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold a meeting in Russia on April 21 to discuss the situation in Syria and Israeli-Palestinian settlement, the Kremlin press service said Friday.
