
Minister of Public Enterprise Sector Ashraf Sharkawy had talks on Wednesday with a World Bank delegation on means of boosting bilateral cooperation and supporting development of the public sector.
During the meeting, the minister reviewed the progress realized in the public sector over the past six months in view of ministerial decisions to follow up financial performance of public companies, find swift solutions to avoid loss and develop profit-making companies.
Asad Alam, the World Bank Country Director for Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti, who is based in Cairo - said the WB is keen on offering technical support for the program of restructuring public companies.
The meeting also tackled international expertise in managing state-owned investments.
