President Sisi greets China on 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi expressed greetings to the Chinese people over the 60th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Egypt and China.

Addressing a ceremony at the Chinese Embassy in Cairo on behalf of the president, Investment Minister Dalia Khorshid shed light on the Egyptian-Chinese ties as an example for comprehensive partnerships. 

The ceremony was attended by Egypt's Minister of Culture Helmi Namnam. 

Earlier, President Sisi and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping have exchanged cables of congratulation on the anniversary.

In his message, President Sisi said that both countries have achieved a close cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields.

Egypt and China have also maintained high-level coordination in regional and international issues of mutual concern, Sisi said.

For his part, Jinping praised the development of bilateral ties, which have become a role model for relations between China and Arab and African countries.
