Sanaa - Saba

President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi - President of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) - opened on Tuesday at the Presidency House the concluding plenary session of the Conference. In the opening session, which was attended by the UN envoy Jamal Benomar, head of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)’s mission in Yemen Sa’ad al-Arifi and ambassadors of the ten countries sponsoring the Gulf initiative, President Hadi delivered a speech, in which he expressed his thanks to the NDC’s members for the national efforts they have exerted in the conference to develop the solutions and visions to the different national issues. “Yemeni experience in dialogue and transfer of power was a unique experience, as it renounced the violence that many countries fell in”, the president said. He pointed to the synchronization of holding the NDC’s concluding session with the country’s celebrations on the anniversaries of the Yemeni Revolution (September 26, October 14 and November 30) and Eid al-Adha. The president urged all the members to make the higher interests of the nation above all else, voicing his confidence that the member with what has remained from the issues deal with in the same national responsible spirit they showed in the previous phases of the conference. “ He is mistaken, who thinks that he can change the track of the national dialogue to serve individuals , groups or parties”, the president said, affirming that the whole Yemeni people are prudently watching the outputs of the conference. The president continued to say” We all have to be at the level of the big political, economic and security challenges”. “The difficulties existed and would continue, but failure is not our choice because the Yemeni people chose the success when he chose dialogue”, the president said. He urged the all members, as they achieved successes in developing solutions to many complicated issues and problems, to continue to work to create a good ground for the implementation of the national dialogue outputs. “A few days separate us from reaching a just solution to the South issue based on addressing the injustices of the past and rework the contract of unity between all the components of Yemen in the framework of a unified Yemeni federal state”, the president added. The president noted that the unsolved remaining points in the South issue would not be difficult to be solved when giving priority to the higher national interests and the spirit of consensus and partnership. He continued to say “It is important to emphasize that the first features of the solution have achieved to the issue of South what was not achieved in the unity agreement in 1990 and the covenant and agreement document in 1994”. The president pointed out that the development issues in a number of Yemeni areas and the issues of human rights and freedoms and good governance were not absent in the dialogue conference, rather they were among its key titles. The president confirmed that the solutions to any issue should not exceed the GCC initiative and the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council, which stressed in total on Yemen’s security, stability and unity. Concluding his speech, the president said that the UN Security Council’s Resolutions has stressed on the principle of Yemeni unity, because the international community is well-aware that Yemen can not be stable only under the fair unity that ensures the equal citizenship and social justice and building the foundations of a modern civil state.
