His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, the Special Envoy of the Philippines President to the GCC countries, Dr. Amable Aguiluz, who is currently on a visit to the kingdom.
HRH the Premier lauded the advanced level of bilateral relations at all levels, in light of the keenness of the two friendly countries to lay the foundation basis for joint cooperation that achieves their common interests in the political, economic, trade and investment fields.
Dr. Aguiluz conveyed to HRH the Premier the greetings of Philippines President, Rodrigo Duterte Benigno Aquino, as well as his wishes of abundant good health to him and of further progress and prosperity to Bahrain and its people.
HRH the Prime Minister underlined Bahrain's keenness to further bolster cooperation with the Philippines, given the two friendly countries' mutual understanding and respect.
The Prime Minister affirmed the strength of the two countries' relations at the official and popular levels, noting that he is looking forward to more joint action to meet the aspirations of the two friendly countries.
HRH Premier highlighted the importance of intensifying exchanged visits between senior officials to take full advantage of the cooperation opportunities offered by the two countries.
He praised the contributions of the Philippine expatriate community to the comprehensive development march currently witnessed by the kingdom in various fields.
HRH the Prime Minister also asked Dr. Aguiluz to convey his greetings to the Philippines President, as well as his wishes to him of abundant good health and happiness and more growth and prosperity to the friendly Philippine people.
The Philippines President's Special Envoy expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his role and interest in enhancing the outstanding bilateral relations and cooperation, affirming his country's interest in bolstering relations with Bahrain.
