Several political parties, on Saturday, issued statements, paying tribute to the Tunisian Revolution, on its first anniversary and calling for achievement of the Revolution objectives. The Democratic Movement for Building and Reform urged all political and civil forces to take the opportunity offered by the celebration of the eruption of the Revolution to think of a better future of the country and establish the foundations of democracy, social justice and balance between regions. The movement paid tribute to the memory of martyrs from different regions and called to take needed interest in their families and provide necessary care for the wounded. The Modernist Democratic Pole underlined that the celebration of the first anniversary of the Revolution sheds light on internal regions that had been for a long time marginalised and paid tribute to the memory of martyrs of the Revolution. It called on democratic and progressive forces to struggle to achieve the objectives of the revolution and protect the gains of the Tunisian people. The Pole also recommended giving top priority to disadvantaged regions and marginalised categories in all development programmes and start a serious dialogue with participants in social and economic protests. The National Alliance for Peace and Prosperity Party (ANPP) called on active forces and components of the civil society to work for the building of a civil, democratic and modern state that ensure dignity to all citizens and guarantees their rights to employment and social and health coverage. It emphasised the need to establish a real transitional justice, prosecute corrupt persons and recover stolen assets, ensure public and individual freedoms and achieve balanced development and fair distribution of wealth.
