Belgian police said they detained a man who held about 15 people hostage

Belgian police said they detained a man who held about 15 people hostage in a supermarket on Tuesday evening in the Brussels suburb of Forest.
The area was quickly closed off and police helicopters sent in to back up the rescue operation. Sources said that the incident might have been related to a failed robbery attempt, adding that nobody was harmed.
Belgium has been on high alert since terror attacks in March at the Brussels airport and on a metro killed 32 people.
