Thanks to the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government's nation-building policies, Bahrain is fine and is making confident steps towards ensuring a more prosperous future, in which its male and female citizens contribute. "Bahrain is strong and fully capable of overcoming every crisis because its people rejects any interference in its national affairs and is committed to home-grown solutions," he said, confirming that in Bahrain, all are equal, regardless of sect or ethnicity. "We are all loving and cohesive brothers who accept to live along each other in light of the distinctive deep-rooted co-existence and tolerance atmosphere prevailing here," he added, stressing that attempts of those who accepted to be used as agents to hostile regimes seeking to shake up the unity of the one-family Bahraini society to sow seeds of hatred through abusive allegations and lies will certainly fail. "Our doors will remain wide-open for all Bahraini citizens, without distinction," he said, emphasising that "the voice of the citizens is heard since we share the same concerns." "The criticism of our citizens is accepted because it aims to achieve public interest and is not directed towards a specific person, and therefore, our hands are extended to all those who seek national interests," he added. This came as HRH Premier received at the Gudaibiya Palace today a number of officials, scholars, businessmen, press and media figures, representatives of NGOs and scores of citizens. HRH Prime Minister asserted that the political challenges facing the region require more awareness and vigilance in order to thwart the plans targeting the region and beginning with Bahrain, stressing that it is impossible for them to succeed in the kingdom thanks to the Bahraini people's cohesion and the regional support it enjoys. In this regard, he called upon the GCC countries to adopt united and supportive stances towards each other in order to be able to overcome all challenges. On regional and international developments, HRH Premier affirmed that Saudi Arabia's apology for not accepting the non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council was not surprising, stressing that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has always adopted firm stances that serve Arab and Islamic interests and consolidate global security and peace. HRH Prime Minister lauded the "honourable" role played by the national press in defending the homeland and commended the efforts of columnists in highlighting the shortcomings for national purposes. He urged more social awareness as the best way to preserve hard-won landmark national achievements and resist any group seeking to deprive the Bahraini people from the blessing of decent life in order to serve hostile foreign agendas. HRH Premier affirmed that Bahraini people's rallying together and unity have thwarted evil intentions and plots against the homeland, stressing that whoever sows division among the members of the one-family Bahraini society will certainly fail. "We have to focus on building the nation and ensuring it a better future, which requires, now more than ever, a constructive social awakening that develops the nation and enables it to achieve its aspirations for progress and prosperity," he said, hailing the essential role played by businessmen in boosting development in the Kingdom. Those present lauded the pioneering role played by HRH Premier in consolidating security and stability across the kingdom through his constant follow-up and field visits. They also valued highly HRH Premier's keen desire to implement the popular will represented in the recommendations of the National Assembly on combating terrorism and protecting the community from it. Businessmen praised the Prime Minister's incessant support for the private sector and initiatives to boost economic development.
