Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received today a telephone call from French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault.
Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) said during the contact they resumed the talks they held at a meeting between Abbas and his French counterpart Francois Hollande a few days ago on preparations for the convening of an international peace conference on Palestine.
Earlier in the day Ayrault announced that his country will organize on May 30 an international ministerial meeting in Paris in an attempt to revive the Israeli-Palestinian peace process with 20 countries participating.
The Palestinian President is currently visiting New York and is scheduled to sing Palestine's joining of the Climate Agreement.
