Islamabad - KUNA

The President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari would not resign before the end of his tenure nor he would contest for a second term of presidency, said the spokesman for the President, Farhatullah Babar on Monday. According to the press statement issued, the spokesman said that President Zardari would soon return to the country after his private visit to London, however, the spokesman stop short of giving Zardari's schedule or arrival date due to security reasons. The presidential spokesman told that President Zardari would remain in the country even after the end of his term as president and the opposition parties in the national assembly had not decided to field a consensus candidate yet. While clearing the speculation in the media regarding a breach in President's security as his security head was killed in a bomb attack in southern Pakistani city Karachi, the spokesman said that Bilal Sheikh was the security head of Bilawal house and not the president's 'front-man.
