Pakistan's Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and his Indian counterpart Dr. Manmohan Singh started their talks here on the sidelines of 17th SAARC Summit. Gilani is being assisted in talks by the other members of the delegation including Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Communication Minister Dr. Arbab Alamgeer and Minister for Ports and Shipping Babar Gauhri, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP). SAARC summit begins here today under the theme" Building Bridges." The theme emphasises the fact that the eight-member regional forum comprising Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will strive not only to span the physical distances but also strengthen political and trade relations among the member nations.
