The opposition League of Voters will gather next week to discuss the offer of the election headquarters of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to join the monitoring mission at March 4 presidential election. However one of the League leaders is so far skeptical about cooperation. “Doubts rankle in my heart,” Sergei Parkhomenko said in Facebook on Thursday . However he added the League will definitely send its representatives to negotiate participation in the monitoring mission of Putin’s headquarters. “We want to know how many mandates Putin’s headquarters will give to our monitors and at which polling stations they will be present,” he said. Another League leader Dmitry Oreshkin welcomed the cooperation offer. “It is good that Putin’s headquarters are ready to cooperate with us, but concrete decisions will be discussed at a League meeting next week, most likely on Monday,” he told Tass. In the meantime, a new scandal erupted over the publication in the Internet of personal correspondence of the head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Vasily Yakemenko, in which he allegedly discussed the production of videos discrediting opposition leader Alexei Navalny. “We do not comment such unlawful actions,” the agency said on Thursday. The Echo Moskvy radio station claimed the correspondence was placed in Internet by the Russian branch of Anonymous hackers. Earlier telephone conversations of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov in which he quarrels with his allies appeared in Internet on the eve of an opposition rally.
