
Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs Nabil Fahmy and Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah stressed it is vital to reach a political solution for the Syrian crisis through collaborative effort aimed at facilitating the holding of and ensuring success of a Geneva II conference. The sentiment was expressed during a meeting here, Sunday, of the two officials, held at Foreign Ministry HQ. The ministers discussed means to bolster bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations. A Foreign Ministry statement today added the officials reached an agreement to hold the next session of the joint cooperation committee in Cairo as soon as possible, as well as to resume cooperation in the field of training of diplomats. They also stressed keenness to further cooperation in all fields.
