US President Barack Obama and his family will move into a rented mansion in the historic Kalorama community in Washington, DC, next year.
When the Obamas leave the White House in January they will lease a 1928 mansion featuring nine bedrooms and eight-and-a-half bathrooms, Politico Playbook reported.
At the end of Obama's second term in office the first family will lease the home reportedly owned by Joe Lockhart, former White House press secretary in the Bill Clinton administration who has recently accepted a top job with the NFL in New York, a source told the media outlet.
In March, the president revealed that the the first family, who lived in Chicago before moving to Washington DC when he took office in 2009, would remain in the capital until his younger daughter Sasha finishes high school.
