Obama Criticizes Trump's Nuclear Comments

US President Barack Obama criticized Saturday Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, saying the latter does not understand foreign policy.
Trump has told media that it could be beneficial to let allies Japan and South Korea have their own nuclear weapons. Responding to those statements said that such comments reflected someone who "doesn't know much about foreign policy, or nuclear policy, or the Korean peninsula or the world generally." He said that the US policies in the last more than six decades have contributed in large part to the "peace and prosperity" of that region. "You don't mess with that," Obama added.
