North Korea silent on talks proposal for Mt Kumgang tours, family reunions

North Korea remained silent Wednesday on talks proposals made by Seoul to arrange family reunions for people separated by the Korean War (1950-53) and the possible resumption of Mount Kumgang tours. The communist country accepted South Korea's plan to hold negotiations on family reunions, but also called for talks over the weekend on the long-suspended tour program. It insisted that both meetings take place at the Mount Kumgang resort on Thursday Friday.
