
Abu Dhabi General Services Company, Musanada, has completed and handed over to Al Ain City Municipality all the infrastructure works related to Neima Residential Project.
The move is part of the efforts to achieve the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the close follow up of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. It aimed to establish an integrated infrastructure and a sustainable, globally open, and competitive economy to enhance welfare and development across the UAE in line with a comprehensive government development and growth plans.
"The company has delivered the project in accordance with the highest international standards to Al Ain City Municipality as planned and within the set timeframe, because it believes the importance to give the best to the nation and to the members of the community, citing the example of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE," said Obaid Mohamed Al Mheiri, Musanada’s Infrastructure Director.
"Musanada started the work of the 180-acre project in March 2013, and thanks to Musanada’s relevant experience along with its strategic plan, the company managed to complete the project as planned, achieving AED15 million in savings to the budget through the value engineering exercise and high project management efficiency," added Al Mheiri.
The project, with a total cost of approximately AED206 million, included the delivery of infrastructure works, such as the roads, storm water, drainage and electricity networks for Phase II of Neima Residential Project in Al Ain, which will serve 616 residential plots along with the community facilities, including five mosques, mall, school, 4 KG’s and 19 power substations.
The infrastructure networks were approximately 177 km long, including 85km for power lines, 18km for roads, 16.5km for a storm water network, 31km for water network and 26km for the drainage network.
Musanada has delivered several development projects in the infrastructure sector in line with highest international standards and specifications, striving with honesty and transparency in serving the community. In 2015, Musanada delivered several projects with a total value of over AED7.5 billion across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
"The infrastructure works were completed, thanks to the joint efforts of all the strategic partners," said Ali Khalifa Al Qamzi, Executive Director of Planning and Project Sector, Abu Dhabi Housing Authority. "These partners worked hand in hand, defining a set of advanced working procedures and processes to translate the aspirations of the prudent leadership to provide a decent live and a stable future for the families of the UAE nationals in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in a way to foster the community cohesion among them."
