About 200 Vietnamese illegal migrant will soon be sent back home from Moscow. A spokeswoman for the Moscow department of the Federal Migration Service told Itar-Tass on Friday that the Vietnamese embassy had handed over to the Moscow migration authorities documents of about 200 Vietnamese citizens who were being kept at a Moscow camp for illegal migrants. To be sent home illegal migrants must have documents of their native country but only each tenth of those Vietnamese citizens who are staying at the Moscow centre for illegal migrants were found to have Vietnamese passports, the spokeswoman noted. “After a number of meetings with officials of the Vietnamese embassy, we received documents of more than 200 citizens (about a third of those kept at the centre at the moment),” she said. “These people will soon be sent back home.” She added that Russia’s migration authorities were taking effort to deport all the Vietnamese citizens who were staying at the centre. According to the Federal Migration Service’s statistics, as many as 585 Vietnamese citizens are currently being kept at the Moscow centre for illegal migrants.
