
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today received in Abu Dhabi the visiting British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, who is currently touring countries of the region.
Sheikh Mohamed discussed with Hammond bilateral relations between the UAE and the United Kingdom (UK) as well as ways to enhance them in the best interests of the two friendly peoples and countries.
They also reviewed the latest developments in the regional and international arenas and the most important dossiers in the region, especially the developments in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Libya. They also discussed the international efforts to fight violence and terrorism and ways to achieve security and stability through joint co-ordination to address the existing challenges.
The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and the British Foreign Secretary exchanged views regarding a number of issues of mutual interest.
Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince's Court of Abu Dhabi, attended the meeting.
