Bamako - SPA

Preliminary official results in Mali on Thursday confirmed a landslide victory for president-elect Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, DPA reported. Keita, popularly known as IBK, won 77.6 per cent in the run-off at the weekend, while Soumaila Cisse got 22.3 per cent, Minister of Territorial Administration, Brigadier General Sinko Moussa Coulibaly, announced. The second round turnout was 45.7 per cent, compared to 48.9 per cent in the first round, Coulibaly said. Mali's Constitutional Court is expected to announce the final figures in the next few days.
