Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Adnan Mansour announced here Tuesday that his country will not participate in the "Friends of Syria" conference, to kick off on February 24 in Tunisia. Mansour said in a press release, that he received an invitation from the Tunisian Foreign Minister Rafiq Abdulsalam to participate in the international conference of "Friends of Syria", stressing that Lebanon is following self-distancing policy towards the events in Syria, as from all the Arab resolutions taken against Syria, in particular the recent decisions taken on February 12, which called to cut off economic and diplomatic relations. Therefore, Lebanon distances itself. Mansour stressed that his country's position is clear with non-interference in the Syrian affairs, as well as the domestic matters, calling for those interfering to clarify what they seek explicitly.
